Smoking Policy

The Best Western Croft Hotel is committed to the health of all our guests and staff. We have been a no smoking hotel since July 2007.

The hotel, as a building is open to the public and has a legal duty to provide a safe working environment for it's staff and visitors.  As of July 1st 2007, it is now illegal to smoke in a confined public space. There is now a majority of people in the United Kingdom who do not smoke and who increasingly believe that their health is at risk when their environment is polluted by tobacco smoke. The objective of the No Smoking Policy is to establish a healthy environment for all staff and visitors and its success depends upon the consideration and co-operation of both smokers and non-smokers.

Smoking is now totally prohibited throughout the hotel. This includes guest rooms, corridors, bars and lavatories. Smoke alarms are fitted where necessary. Anyone found smoking within the hotel may be liable to a £60 fine.

We appreciate your co-operation with the smoking policy.
